That's what I was talking about! I remember there was one guy who called himself SEYMOUR back in the 70's who hosted a show in L.A. The guy was hilarious! Sometimes he'd take an old movie and insert a brief clip of a silent movie or an old cartoon into the whatever movie he was hosting that week with hilarious results. He'd been in a few movies himself from time to time. One that stands out for me was THE INCREDIBLE TWO HEADED TRANSPLANT, which has come and gone from this site quite a few times. He played Danny's father in that one. I saw it at the drive in on a double bill with THE ABOMINABLE DR PHIBES and have since found it on dvd. The magazine FAMOUS MONSTERS OF FILMLAND ran his obit.

SEYMOUR actually went national via syndication by the 70s. He had a pleasantly vintage vibe, although friends and I wondered what was wrong with his sunken face. In my market, Seymour aired for a few years on Saturday night, but he was eventually replaced with the syndicated ELVIRA. I read he died back in the 80s.

Actually it was more like '75. I had a subscription to Famous Monsters and they ran his obituary in it. I was very sad to read it.
